Weingut Weixelbaum, Strass, Kamptal - Anno Dazumal Gruner Veltliner Wine 

New in our line of premium white wines. Heinz Weixelbaum releases his Grüner Veltliner Dazumal only in exceptional years. The grapes are hand harvested and selected from over 60 year old vines in the Offenberg vineyard at the bottom of the famous Gaisberg. The wine ferments and is left on its fine lees in small 500l barriques before ageing in larger oak barrels for an exceptional further 18 months to create an exceptional Gruner Veltliner Wine. 

Ripe and elegant, tropical fruit, apricot and almonds, complex and long finish. This exceptional wine will age well and it benefits from decanting.

Anno Dazumal means ‘like in the old days’ referring to its long fermentation and ageing periods, ‘Giving it time to ripen and develop’ as Heinz says.
