Our first PIWI, or ‘Pilzwiderstandsfähig’, short for resistant to fungal diseases. Requiring less fungicide sprays and hence fewer passes with the tractor in the vineyard these new hybrid varieties are the latest development in environmental sustainability. Austria is at the forefront here with 2% of vineyards already planted with PIWI’s – trend only upwards!
With Riesling prominent in its heritage the Donauriesling 2024 features typical Riesling aromas of peach and elderflower, notes of pear and rose and a fruity finish.
Enjoy with fish dishes or grilled chicken.
